Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is a unique resort built on a 330 hectare valley. It opened in 2011 and now has the reputation as one of the top golf courses in Spain. When entering the resort, you really do feel like you are entering another world.

The resort is made up of approximately 37 residential communities. Each community has its own style and feel. Some of the communities are made up of apartments and some villas, ranging from two and three bedroom apartments to five bedroom detached villas.

The apartments have their own style. For example a recent development called Mandarino has a Nordic finish, open plan and contemporary with a superior high quality finish. This is typical of the quality and standards here. They are always superior regardless of the builder.

There is a choice of two routes to take, these are both clearly sign posted. The shorter route takes just under an hour and the slightly longer route takes around an hour and fifteen minutes.

If you prefer to eat at home, takeaway is available from all three restaurants. For those who prefer to cook at home, there is a mini market near the clubhouse that sells all the everyday products you will need.

If you do decide to leave the Las Colinas Golf & Country Club for a day out you will find plenty to do for all the family close by.

For those that enjoy time at the beach, Las Colinas is just a 10 minute drive from many blue flag accredited beaches such as Campoamor, La Zenia, and Cabo Roig. These beaches are all family friendly, clean, have seasonal lifeguards and beach bars.

If you like shopping, La Zenia Boulevard is for you. Just 10 minutes from Las Colinas, La Zenia Boulevard is the largest shopping mall in Alicante. This shopping mall boasts 150 shops, including Guess, Zara, Mango and many exclusive boutiques, jewellery shops and shoe shops. There is also a bowling alley, cinema, casino and huge kids play area.

For a traditional Spanish day or evening out, the town of San Miguel de la Salinas is a 5 minute drive. Here you will find many tapas bars, international cuisine and a lively market.

For another evening out, the Villamartin Plaza offers a choice of many eateries from casual dining to fine dining. The plaza is set on two levels overlooking the central square where there is often entertainment. There is always a fabulous vibrant atmosphere here, and they even have resident parrots.

If history and culture is your thing, then the historical naval town of Cartagena is a must. There is so much to see and do; you can take a boat trip, visit the roman amphitheatre, walk the cobbled streets taking in the breath-taking architecture, visit the museums, or just sit in a street cafe soaking up the fabulous atmosphere.

This area of the Costa Blanca South is brimming with championship golf courses. Las Colinas is by far the most prestigious, but if you fancy a change there are many others to visit.

Just a five minute drive through the orange groves you will find the courses of Campoamor and Las Ramblas. These two courses are located next to each other. Both are 18 hole courses and both have lovely clubhouses for a relaxing drink after a round of golf.

A little bit further is Villamartin Golf, Vistabella Golf, Lo Romero Golf and La Marquesa golf, which are all worth a visit. You will definitely find a course to suit all levels and abilities in this part of the world.

We are very fortunate in this part of the Costa Blanca South to enjoy one of the healthiest climates in the world. This is according to the World Health Organisation. This is mainly due to the microclimate found in this part of Spain.

Temperatures range from around 15C in January to a hot 36C in August. The warm balmy summer evenings allow you the luxury of alfresco dining under the stars, relaxing with a cool drink after a day on the golf course.
